She - The Audacious

Name it a fashion shoot, or a play of portraits; think of it as a game of expressions, poses, looks or anything you wish. But a fashion  shoot or any shoot as a matter of fact is usually more than its generic name. You must have heard the phrases a million times "fashion is what defines you" or "fashion is what you cannot buy". Well a lot of us tend to misinterpret the statements as we read them on a superficial level and tend to link the word 'fashion' to expensive clothing, make-up, knick-knacks and stuff like that. Probe a little deeper and we will understand that Fashion is something that defines the soul and the self.

I believe that fashion not only exhibits the outer beauty but also manifests the inner magnificence. When we say fashion speaks that means it reflects our personality. Broadly, if we sideline the stereotypes then yes, Fashion can be a medium of expressing self. Be it the oh-so happening Milan fashion or the funky fashion of the locals, fashion has a huge realm of meanings, definitely more than just being dressed up.

Below is a sneak peek into my recent shoot. I have named the series as "She - the audacious." Through the series I have tried to put forward a strong, powerful and audacious entity and Fashion has played a major role in it. I believe inspiration is all around us. We just need to open our senses to see it. No matter at which stage you are, whether you are an amateur artist or an experienced one, you can face the creative/artist block (to which I'll mostly refer to as Miss. Stubborn in the following post). As an artist, I also face this mental block now and then. Believe it or not, this is not a rare phenomenon.
